    Replacement for a 476, more expensive, hope it last longer.

    Purchased the PageWide Pro MFP 577DW to replace a Officejet Pro 476DW that suddenly developed an error message that said that "the Print head is missing or not installed properly." HP was no help in identifying the problem, as I searched their entire Help section online, and in the specific manual for the printer. It had been a great printer, but there was apparently a maintenance issue that should have been addressed but there was no instructions to do so, nor was there any warning. The New Printer is similar to the old, however, it is somewhat quicker to respond. Print quality is good, the Ink Cartridges are the same size, and shape, but I cannot find any confirmation that the older one will work in the new printer. The old are 971 and the are 972. HP is no help in this ...

    Best Printer I ever owned

    Faster than a Laser Printer, Best photo quality compared to Laser and many inkjet printers. HP uses less ink than any other inkjet printer on the market. Scanning and photocopying abilities are fast and produce excellent results.

    Very promising new technology.

    Print is as good as laser with fewer moving parts that traditional inkjet or laser. My hope is it will be reliable and economical. Overall construction is more flimsy than I would like. Good software. Easy to setup.

    Error Messages Printer Failure Repeatedly

    I installed this printer a few weeks ago and its constantly showing an error message Printer Failure and will not print. I shut it down and unplugged the electrical cord and then plugged it back in and restarted it and occasionally will print once and then the printer failure error code comes back. I Uninstalled the printer and reinstalled it and it printed for a few times and then the printer failure error code came back and it would not print. I called HP and they were unable to solve the problem. They want to send me a refurbished printer not a new one. I do not recommend this printer.
