    About this product

    Product Information

Enjoy this fun, captivating kart racing experience with Mario Kart Super Circuit for the Nintendo Game Boy Advance. In this game, you can enjoy up to 40 different tracks — the largest number of tracks ever featured in any of the Mario Kart games until the release of Mario Kart 8. Fasten your seat belts and start your engines as you race on any of the courses you want, from Shy Guy Beach to Rainbow Road. Choose from one of eight famous Mario characters: Mario, Luigi, Princess Peach, Toad, Yoshi, Donkey Kong, Wario, and Bowser, each of which handles and plays in a different manner. You can also play Mario Kart Super Circuit on the Nintendo DS, which is backwards compatible with GBA games. The main feature of Mario Kart Super Circuit is the grand prix mode. One or two players race against computer opponents across five different cups, containing four tracks each, and attempt to place in the top three. Once you meet certain conditions, you can also unlock an additional sixth cup that contains all the courses from the original Super Mario Kart for the Super Nintendo, doubling the number of courses available. Choose between three difficulty levels, each corresponding to the size of the kart's engine and therefore the speed of the race: 50cc, 100cc, and 150cc.Super Circuit also features four other game modes: a time trial mode, for practicing on your own and competing against your best times; a single player quick run mode, in which players can customize their own rules; a multiplayer race mode against two to four other players; and a battle mode, in which up to four human players attempt to defeat each other with items scattered throughout the battle arena. Using the GBA link cable or wireless adapter, you can connect with up to three friends and enjoy multiplayer together. Best of all, Super Circuit requires only a single game pak for all your friends to play.Just as in any Mario Kart game, Super Circuit features 14 different items that you can unleash on your adversaries. The red shell will home in on the driver in front of you, while the star powerup grants you temporary invincibility. Throw the lightning bolt item to shrink the other drivers down so you can squish them beneath your tires. With so many different items, you can easily create chaos on the driving course or battlefield.Mario Kart Super Circuit, created in 2001 by Nintendo developer Intelligent Systems, is a fun nostalgia trip, whether you're a new gamer who wants to experience it for the first time or a veteran who owned a GBA and wants to relive a classic racing game. Super Circuit is also notable for being the last of the Mario Kart games to feature 2D graphics. So max out your speed by grabbing coins and blast your rivals with weapons you pick up along the way.

Good Game, but my cart might be a repro.

I like the game it's self and I had a fun time playing it, but then I looked at the cartridge and grew suspicious of the very new looking label and shell, I took it apart and saw the Nintendo wordmark that appears on most carts, but the font looked of and there seemed to be some kind of blob of adhesive on the board leading me to think it's a reproduction cart and not an authentic game, but if it is a repro it's one of high quality and it runs and saves well so it's no major issue. The actual game is fun and I'd recommend you'd play it. in the picture there's an authentic game on the left for comparison.

      • GBA Racing at it’s finest

The game’s mechanics are a little hard to swallow, but once you master it, You will appreciate the game so much more. Unfortunately, The game doesn’t offer much by itself in regards to Single-Card Multiplayer, as most of the Multiplayer features requires Multiple games to access, but what it lacks in Single-Card Multiplayer, it more than makes up for with great Single player action! GBA owners will enjoy this game when they take the time to play it through.

      • Hard to beat a classic

I grew up on this game and was delighted to "get it back" I forgot how dim the screens are and it's almost impossible to see sometimes, but I just love the game too much. The courses are still super fun and you get to unlock extras the more you play and better you get. If you like anything Mario, I highly suggest it

      • Very underrated title in the Mario Kart series

Mario Kart: Super Circuit was the least-sold version of Mario Kart in series history, but honestly, it's not nearly as bad as that would make it seem. While it still follows SNES and N64's pattern of only 8 playable characters (minus the different Yoshi colors from multiplayer), it has the most original tracks of any release at 20 (prior to 8 Deluxe) and you can also unlock all 20 SNES tracks from Super Mario Kart, for a total of 40. Grand Prix is a lot more challenging than its predecessors and successor, and with the ranking system making it so you need a literal perfect race for three stars, trying to get to 100% completion will take a while. As a handheld Mario Kart game, it still holds up well and I play it frequently on my DS alongside Mario Kart DS and Mario Kart 7 (on the 3DS).

      • Good game. By the way, herobrine is real.

There is a minor glitch but it is not that bad. Other than that, great price 4 1/2 out of 5 stars
