Synopsis
Virtuoso of the word and the drawn line, Jean Cocteau (1889-1963) did not reduce art to an aesthetic, but raised living to the level of art. Influenced by forces as diverse as surrealism, psychoanalysis, cubism, Catholicism, and opium, Cocteau made his name in poetry, fiction, film, ballet, painting, theater, and opera. Patrick Mauri s gives us an intimate look into the life of this prince of poets revealing the unique magic that inhabits each of his creations. A wave of the magic wand, and books are written, films are made, plays are acted, and the pen draws., Virtuoso of the word and the drawn line, Jean Cocteau (1889-1963) did not reduce art to an aesthetic, but raised living to the level of art. - i***n (906)- Feedback left by buyer.Past 6 monthsVerified purchaseI was back and forth on neutral or positive feedback. Seller does not respond to messages. Books dust jacket was in far worse condition than shown in the pictures could have been because how it was packaged. While it was shipped promptly, the package was a simple bubble mailer. For collectible books such as this, I’d expect it in a box. I ship books with media mail too and it doesn’t cost any more to use a box instead of plastic mailers. Book did arrive though and the pricing was reasonable.Fairyloot The Forest Grimm by Kathryn Purdie Exclusive Edition Digital Signature (#176931227352)
