      1950's Sci-fi

      One of the Better 1950's Sci-fi movies. This Island Earth gives a snapshot from 60 years ago of what we thought contact with Aliens might be like. We were in the midst of the Cold War and had valid fears of an Atomic war here on Earth. These fears are expressed in this movie and showed how we were afraid things might turn out here. If you found this movie of interest - two of the Best Sci-fi movies of this era are "The Day the Earth Stood Still" ( the original Black and White movie - not the terrible recent remake with Kenau Reeves ) and "When Worlds Collide".
