    Good product for the money

    Simple but effective measuring of moisture content in wood. I use it to measure moisture content of woods used in my woodshop. So far...it works well. The only gripe I have is that some of the woods I use are not listed on the chart for selecting the correct setting. This seems to be a very simple fix for the manufacturer.....if they would just do this I am sure there will be many 5 star ratings.

    Great meter for the price.

    This appears to be a nice meter. I checked it on some sawmill lumber (poplar and pine) I had in the basement for about 4 weeks and it showed 12% which it what I feel should be close. I then tried it on some baseboard that was being refinished from a house built in 1968. This showed at 6% moisture. This seemed a little high, so I will have to research if this is normal. Overall it appears to be a good tool. On the negative side the device feels like if it is dropped it will shatter. For the price it appears fairly accurate and an overall value for a hobbyist.
