    The cajon was exactly as described in the ad, with only a small cosmetic blemish that I was already aware of. It was also packaged very well for shipping! It sounds great and it is good to have one at home to practice with. The piezzo pickup system is not great, but I had kind of anticipated this as potentially being an issue based on forum discussions so I may just replace it with an internal mic later. Muzic Store Inc was great to work with and I would definitely buy from them again!

    Excellent

    Had previous generation 8 track. Very nice but this has much improved features - sliding faders; external EQ controls; more reverb options. Used for 2 songs - so much easier.

    pretty good with some stupid mistakes. DP03 actually

    1/8" headphone jack is asinine! How cheap. Should only be 1/4" because all DECENT headphones are. Auto punch in only gives 2 second lead. NOT ENOUGH! I barely find my place in time. How stupid that they TOOK OUT the cd burner as an UPGRADE! This is an intro unit. If I had a computer, I wouldn't need this unit. Not much volume on headphones. Would be nice if it wrote ONLY wavefiles (takes a second step).

    Excellent Quality, fun to use

    I wanted to add some hardware controls to my home recording after using Logic Pro for many years. I missed being able to simply and quickly make a recording and add tracks as needed. The Tascam DP-03sd did the trick. A solid machine that simplifies the process. The manual is straight forward, easy to read and the machine worked flawlessly as I checked out each feature. While it may not have a crazy amount of features, what I wanted was a solid recorder. That's exactly what it is. I was surprised to see very useful reverb choices as well as compression options. The icing on the cake is being able to easily import and export files over to Logic Pro or to iTunes for use on all my devices. Love it, just what I needed. I haven't given up any of the great features of Logic Pro, but ...

    Tascam 8 track recorder

    The Tascam 8 track recorder (DP-03SD) arrived in good condition and in a timely manner. Everything seems to work well on it and we've been recording some live music here at home. We still need to use and understand the directions from the book, but we're getting there. We would recommend it to anyone beginning to learn the recording process.
