Works well, with a few caveats

Connected and worked well on the same 120vac circuit within the house. When then connected between the house and the shop, it works well AFTER figuring out the following: Devices must be on the same side of the power transformer winding (same 120vac pole of the power feed- when measuring the AC power between the device receptacles, it must read 0vac, NOT 240vac). And, GFCI breakers and receptacles interfere quite a bit and can make them inoperable (this is not mentioned in the documentation!). We are going almost 275 ft. between buildings and can get a reliable 4 MBps speed between them. (with a GFCI receptacle on the same circuit, we got 28 Kbps). It has been reliable, and we can stream video, copy files, etc.

      Netgear Powerline 1200 MBPS

I think it is rediculus to ask in such a short time " How does your purchase function" . To my knowledge it takes some time to find out how reliable the product is. Admitted it is easy to install, it looks good from the outside but the functionality is only to be determined after several months. So, i'm not able after a couple of weeks to determine if the product is good. So far OK, but time will show the reliability. Is it a good product, it seems like but I don't know now. Performance the same answer.

    • Easy to install, works as advertised.

Works as advertised. This particular pair flops between a very good and just good connection, but that's due to the path the signal has to take between the two units. The older Netgear Powerline units (which died after over 10 years) behaved the same way. The old units had 4 network ports, but it appears that feature is no longer available. So I had to add a network switch on one end. Otherwise it would have gotten 5 stars.

    • Great internet connections through the house's power line.

I received this quickly in 3 days. I eagerly opened the package and found the merchandise in new good conditions. It came with simple instructions which took less than 5 minutes to set up. Most of the process is just plugging the units into AC outlets and plugging internet cables from the unit to the router and from another unit to the computer. I noticed very little speed loss. This beats running cables through the attic with the need of opening up holes in the sheetrock. My router is located in an upstairs bedroom while I wanted a wired connection in the family room which is located downstairs and in a different corner of the house. I am happy with this product.

    • Cheaper than wiring your home

Wanted to get my game system hardwired with an ethernet cord. I talked to some cable installers and it wouldve been ugly and costly to install wiring from router to my game system as I have a finished basement. This allowed me to use the existing electrical wiring in my house to transfer the ethernet connection with a minor cost in comparison and using a plug that was already free. I've had one minor connection problem since using it requiring me to unplug the device from the wall and plug it back in on the router side but its been great and seeing a much smoother experience while gaming plus a little piece of mind not going over the wifi with possible rubber banding.
