      very historically accurate but had many explicit sex scenes

      While the set still had its plastic cover on and looked perfect, the back of the container was cracked and slightly chipped. this was a”new” set of discs. Also, delivery was 4 days later than projected.

      Defective DVD, NORTH AND SOUTH

      The DVD set was well packaged and arrive on time. The reason I rated it 3 stars was the first DVD named North and South would not download and I have a good machine so we concluded that it was defective. Tried to download on a computer too but would not work. The other two dvds were ok.

      Correction of my bad review!

      This product worth ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. Let each disk play even after the first episode of each disk is done. It will take you to the next episode. Don’t make the same mistake like me and take the disc out after the first episode.

      Binge watching at it's best

      Patrick Swayze! is enough to know it's worth watching this series. But there is a long cast of great actors in this series. The story is more about the families affected by the war and gives you a glimpse of the struggles that took place off the battlefields. There is of course the brother against brother, friend against friend emotional drama. The love story that lasts a lifetime and the tragedy and loss, tears and laughter - it's got it all. You are drawn into their world and get mad at their decisions, cheer them on, and cry with them. So happy to get this dvd complete set of I, II and III !! Like so many I still think that the 1st one is the very very best but the second one is a nice continuation. The third one answers questions and yet somehow you wish there was a number 4. ...

      History Brought To Life

      The physical package is high quality, brand new, delivered in timely manner. I wanted this because I saw the mini-series years ago and I have the books. John James was a great historian (I'm a history teacher) and a talented writer. You could teach this period big American History with this series. Jakes is so good his characters mesh perfectly with historical figures and events. Through his characters, he shows all the myriad points of view and conflicts intertwined with personal narratives. The producers, writers, and cast did a terrific job of staying true to the books. I can't recommend this highly enough if you want real history and excellent entertainment.
