    Great product, terrific value!

    I had been using older HP LaserJet workgroup printers that were just too much printer - a separate one for B&W and another for color. I've always had HP printers since the LaserJet II, more than a couple years ago. Anyway, as I searched for a replacement an all-in-one made sense and the size, reputation and features made this an easy choice. Setup could not be easier as everything just loaded (drivers, software) without issue. I use it on a home network with several computers and setup on each was easy. Print quality is outstanding and it is nice to have a copier - which I have not had for years. The scanner is very easy to use, although I have not challenged it with anything other than testing. I do not have a landline so i do not use the FAX feature so I cannot comment. Touchscreen ...

    HP m479fdn can be converted to a wifi printer

    The HP m479fdn is a really fast printer and the start up time is fast when in sleep mode. This is a "n" or network printer so it doesn't have wifi and there is no HP product that can make it a wifi printer. However, it is possible. You need a wifi router that can share a printer. Next buy a powerline network adaptor (there are 2 power adaptors with 2 Ethernet cables). It uses your home powerline to transfer the internet. Plug one into your router and the other one into the ethernet port of your printer. Just add the printer using your laptop's wifi and it will recognize the printer. Now you have a very fast Wi-Fi enabled colour printer and scanner!
