Proud owner of a Smoking Gun!
I've been wanting the "smoking gun" for a long, long time. List price is almost 3 times more than what I eventually paid and this very same product sells for almost twice as much everywhere else I've looked. Reviews have been consistently good and I needed this one product in order to lightly smoke my cured salmon fillet for my version of lox. I've been making this cured salmon for years and now it's perfect because of my Breville Smoking Gun. it's ridiculously easy to operate and provides an abundance of smoke in just a few brief moments. After that it's merely a matter of containing both the smoke and the product for the desired length of time. In the case of my salmon, the smoke successfully infused it in just 15 to 20 minutes. Promising But Doesn't Deliver Smoke Flavor Of Any Significance
I saw this reviewed on several YouTube videos and really, really wanted this to work. I've tried doing exactly as their instructions, as well as the reviewer's instructions too, prescribed but I've never gotten any kind of real smoke taste to anything I've smoked. I do a lot of sous vide cooking and I've tried smoking meats before cooking, after cooking, after searing, short smokes (as instructed-10 minutes for instance), longer smokes (up to one hour), all to no avail. When I smoke with some heat on my BBQ, as I've done for years, I get strong smoke flavors but with the smoking gun I get no real sense of being smoked at all. Like I said I really wanted to believe in this product and I've tried it at least a dozen times now and with all different types of wood and, although the smoke ... I saw this reviewed on several YouTube videos and really, really wanted this to work. Great Product
I bought this for my husband as a Christmas gift so he can smoke cocktails. He absolutely loves it! I had done some research on which smoking gun would be the best to get and the Breville had really great reviews. It is easy to use and he is having so much fun smoking the cocktails he makes!

A great smoker that easily produces a ton of smoke.
While the physical design of this isn't ideal for storage it's obviously need to be designed this way to make it work so well. So I just put it back in the box every time to store it. As far as ease to use and smoke producing, yes this is an awesome product. It creates a lot of smoke and is just so easy to use. I read one review that stated they couldn't get their smoke flavor on the meat. Well that's on you and the technique you use. This creates great smoke. I primarily use it for smoking cocktails and a smoking old fashioned. I'm even trying to make smoke bubbles. I also had a steak and pumped the smoke through the hole in the side of the grill. Then while resting the ribeye I covered it in foil and ran the smoke tube under the foil. For me that worked well enough. A great ...
