      A must have for August door locks

      This keypad is a must have if you own an August door lock. In the event of a WiFi failure or power outage, you can still get in without your keys. It's also nice when the August door fails to auto-unlock when I get home. I also really like the "one touch lock" feature, so I can lock my door as I leave the house. I give it 4/5 because once every week or so it takes 15-30 seconds for the keypad to communicate with the lock.

      Hard to program

      I spent roughly 4 hours trying to get codes to work. It pairs to lock, but obviously when you enter new codes, there is a grace period for keypad and lock to sync. After 15 minutes, it recognize the code if you just let it sync. If you buy keypad, be very patient when pairing and coding for each user a personal code. It will drive you crazy.

      A useful addition if you have an August Smartlock. The list price is too high but I got it for half that price on eBay. Easy installation and setup. Works flawlessly so far.

      Very cool tech!

      So far it works exactly as it should. Setting it up in through the app was a breeze. Connected in seconds! Not sure why I waited so long to get the August smartlock set up. This key pad works with all generations of August smart locks.

      August Keypad

      The keypad works as advertised. Since this is battery powered, it "sleeps" until a key is pressed and it takes longer to wake up (connect to the lock) than I like. My work around is to press a key, wait a second then proceed.
