The player arrived quickly and safely, due to the sufficient packaging. It was as described and basically like-new. Due to some user-error, I wasn't sure how to set up the system, and the seller was quick and friendly to help me with a missing step when I messaged them. Recommend!

      Extremely comfortable

I have carpal tunnel syndrome and arthritis in both hands. I work on computers all day with graphics intense programs. I stockpiled a bunch of Microsoft Explorer Trackballs (formerly the best trackball I had ever used) after they discontinued them, but the Elecom Huge trackballs are just as comfortable - maybe even better since they have built-in memory foam wrist rests. I have been using my first Huge all the time since receiving it. I love the built in DPI adjuster for precision. I used the Elecom Mouse Assistant (downloadable following the included instructions) to reprogram one of the buttons. I'm planning to replace the trackballs on all my computers with Elecom Huges.

Quality product but just not ergomomic

Everything about this product, with one exception, is high-quality: nice big ball, rolls smoothly; nice padding at the base of the unit. But the exception is the most important thing: the unit’s basic design is just not on target. It’s not at all ergonomic for my hand — hard to see how it would be for anything except very small hands. Very puzzling. My old Microsoft Trackball Explorer (TBE) fits the hand well, provides support where you need it, allows a more neutral hand position (no need to torque the wrist to make the plane of the hand flat). But the M-HT1URBK is like a TBE that has been deflated, and then bent to the left. No hump to support the palm — the unit is actually concave at that point. My thumb is left hanging off to the left with nothing to rest against; to do a left ...

    • Great trackball! Better than any mouse in my case, and very programmable.

I'm impressed! I still have a Microsoft Trackball Explorer I bought at a 'Office Everything' store. That thing was remarkable, fit me like another hand. It's had its day, still works, badly… Now that I'm old with arthritis and nerve problems, mousii are hard to use accurately. So I thought of fixing the old MS ball. I found a used one with a bad button, but at looking for it, I saw these Elecom Huge balls. Had to try it! This is so close to being as good as the MS ball as can be, and has much better features! I guess there are 8 buttons, plus the scroll wheel does 5 programmable things, it seems. The MS ball has 4 buttons and a regular scroll wheel. I rearranged the buttons just a little for my hand, and it felt perfectly natural in less than 10 minutes. Same as the MS ball. ...

    • A more than satisfactory purchase

I do a lot of gaming and after using a Logitech Marble Mouse and a Kensington Orbit, and being disappointed in the short lifespan of the cheap micro-switches used by both companies (Logitech generally lasts about a year and Kensington only lasted about 6 months), I'm looking forward to a much longer lifespan of the Elecom M-HT1URBK, since Elecom uses Omron switches. It did take a little getting used to, since it is designed differently than either of the previous mentioned mouses - and is considerably bigger, but that's to be expected. Now that I'm used to it, I really like it. I especially like the 8 programmable buttons. Customizing the mouse, using the Elecom Mouse Assistant, to what I like really makes a difference, especially with game playing. This mouse was about double the price ...

    • It is an excellent trackball, very complete and of excellent quality. The price is very competitive.

For years I have used several of the Logitech brand, but after experiencing problems in the big toe by the lateral position of the ball (Marble & M570), I decided to try another with the ball in top position.   The construction and materials are of high quality. In my opinion you only need to use a longer cable and protected with a cord (there is also a wireless version). I have only a slight doubt about the long-term durability of the rubber under the palm after years of use. Ergonomically fits well to the hand and the keys have a very good feel. Perhaps he would have designed something less flat, with a tendency that more respect the alignment of the arm to help prevent problems with the carpal tunnel. The position of the wheel is too far behind for my taste and I would have placed it ...
