      Great Traditional Family Movie

      This Disney Movie is in keeping with the great Walt Disney family entertainment tradition of which made Walt Disney a family name! This is a "must see" as is "Ole Yeller"! It is a classic Disney film in which a family becomes stranded following a shipwreck on the shore of a distant island and rescue becomes hopeless. But, as the months pass, they come to be very partial to their new home and of course, comes the rescue after many enduring dangers of pirates, tigers, and perils of the island itself. Great traditional family movie which has been remade 2 or maybe 3 times since this original version which is the one I highly recommend anyone to watch!

      Years later, even my kids were engaged watching the antics of young boy and many animals. Love it still! Extra film features was really interesting showing how they made it.

      A family from yesteryear confronts being ship-wrecked with plenty of action and survival measures.

      A great movie that carries you back in time to yesteryear when special effects were not nearly as perfected. The family depicted in their ship-wrecked state reminds me a lot of a "father knows best" family, a wonderful nuclear family with few conflicts. BUT, some conflicts do arise, and plenty of action takes place when they are confronted by pirates and the environmental elements. Overall a great movie to watch that is totally family friendly.
