        MEB1100 works great!

Have Frontier FIOS with a MEB1100 providing ethernet to the network side of their router. Realized that I had to separate any additional MOCA coax conversions from the primary Frontier supplied MOCA circuit so I purchased 2 MEB1100 units. They connected easily and provide access to my local DHCP server from my ethernet connected device where in-the-wall COAX cable is the only connectivity. Still determining the throughput of this circuit vs hard-wired ethernet.

BEWARE! Only operates in C4 MoCA band (975-1025 MHz), and ARRIS won’t provide ANY support for this product whatsoever

I bought one of these and I couldn’t get it to work with my other MoCA devices. So, naturally, I contacted the manufacturer, Arris, and they would not even give me basic information about this device. They said it’s an OEM device and can’t even tell me anything about it whatsoever, because they don’t even know. There is no manual, and no spec sheet, there’s nothing. What I think is the reason why it doesn’t work in my environment — MoCA uses different frequencies for WAN and LAN traffic; most MoCA devices can transmit and receive both, but it appears THIS device can only do WAN, not LAN. Again, I can’t confirm this, because Arris won’t even acknowledge this device actually exists, despite their logo and branding being all over it. I also talked to another manufacturer of MoCA devices ...

      • Connected perfectly

This adapter replaced a no name, defective adapter I purchased thru eBay which, unfortunately, by the time I connected it and found it was defective, the return window had closed. This adapter worked immediately to restore my Fios channel menus and on demand to my DVR after I had replaced the Fios router with one of my own which did not have MoCa connection.
