    Season 2 of this involving crime drama continues to chronicle the exploits of an ex-con who assumes the identity of a lawman named Lucas Hood (Antony Starr) in the small, out-of-the-way Pennsylvania town of Banshee. The season kicks off with the arrival of an FBI special agent (Zeljko Ivanek) who opens an investigation into the vicious shootout between Hood and New York mob czar Rabbit (Ben Cross), whom the "lawman" once double-crossed, and metes out his own brand of justice. Hood's former partner-on-crime, Carrie ( Ivana Milicevic), tries to patch up things with husband, Gordon (Rus Blackwell), and daughter, Deva (Ryann Shane ), but is spurned. Meanwhile, a horrific murder triggers problems between the Amish community and the Kinaho tribe, and during the investigation, Lucas and his deputies confront an unruly gang of Kinaho bikers. Local crime kingpin Proctor (Ulrich Thomsen) takes matters into his own hands and delivers a peace offering to the Kinaho in hopes of cooling off the hostilities between the two groups. In the Season 2 finale, Lucas and Carrie head to New York, where they prep for a final showdown with Rabbit.

      Banshee: a seriously mature 'Peyton Place'.

      Not for those who are offended by graphic bloody scenes and some mature only situations, language. Storyline is intriguing, however with complex characters you can't help but fall in love with. You feel what they do, enjoying the fact that throughout the story most of the main characters actually do have an honorable code which they do follow even though the path is sometimes roundabout. Excellent characters, intense situations and nicely engineered twists make this series a must see for action craving, mature audiences.

      Good, but slipping.

      Season two is still entertaining, but, It's already starting to slip. The opening scene is completely unbelievable and sets the tone for the season. If you can look beyond all the improbabilities, it's never dull. I've watched all the seasons . The first season was great, the second good. Beyond that don't waste your money because it rapidly deteriorates.

      Great series!

      We have watched this series a couple of times and finally are breaking down and getting the DVD's. It's definitely captivating with a great story line. I must warn, though, that there is lots of blood and nudity so if you're not a fan of that, this probably isn't the show for you. Great characters, some you love and some you hate and sometimes you love the ones you hate, but that typically doesn't last long because as soon as you think they have a heart, they prove you wrong. I give this show 5 stars but, as I said, be prepared for the R rating.

      Banshee is one of those shows where you become so wrapped up in all the characters that make you feel like you are part of their lives. With the finale approaching these sets are a must for fans.
