This was one of the most unusual westerns I have seen. There was a little nudity, which truly surprised me, but it was done quite tastefully and discretely. There was quite a bit of brutality and violence, seems as though more than usual, especially graphic scenes of horses being injured not to mention numerous people getting tomahawks in their backs. It was a very good movie but not something I should have watched before going to bed, somewhat disturbing to me. The cast was truly interesting, Gregory Peck, Omar Sharif, Telly Savalas, Kennan Wynn, Burgess Meridth, Raymond Massey, Lee J. Cobb and some narration by Victor Jory, quite a lineup of impressive names. Sometimes I think ALL actors and actresses got their starts in western movies, I can't believe the ones I have seen in some ...

THIS IS ONE OF THE ALL TIME GREAT WESTERN MOVIES. ALL STAR CAST WITH PECK, SAVALLAS, COBB, E.G.ROBINSON, SHARIFF AND MORE. EVEN THE THEME SONG (TURKEY BUZZARD) FOR THE MOVIE IS SUNG BY "JOSE FELICIANO." THE SCENERY IN THE MOVIE IS AWESOME,THE STORY LINE IS A GREAT ONE AND THERE IS ACTUALLY NOT A THING NEGATIVE I FIND WITH THIS CLASSIC WESTERN. IF YOU DON'T OWN IT ALREADY MY SUGGESTION TO YOU IS "BUY IT NOW" ON EBAY.

  • this is a very good classic western.

i wanted it for my video collection. it is a tell of the west about forbidden gold and the apache indians.
