Does exactly what one would hope: remove leather dye and render your leather product ready for re-dying. In my case I used two Fiebing dyes: dark brown and cordovan. (4 applications-wiping off the excess on the last application. The dye soaked into the leather immediately the first 3.) I worked outdoors in the sunshine; the Deglazer and dyes have an odor one shouldn't breathe in a closed space. As well, applying the Deglazer and dye in the sunshine helped the leather absorb the product. In fact, I applied a last coat of Deglazer immediately followed by that first dye application in order to have the leather moistened to better receive the dye. I left the boots in the warmth for the rest of the afternoon, waiting for the following day to apply pure mink oil. Once more, applied while the ... Since then, I have applied another light application of oil. The leather has absorbed it making them even more supple.

Effective product, but not cost effective. Ordinary nail polish remover or denatured alcohol will work just as well at a fraction of the cost. That's what I finished my projects with when this small bottle ran out. I could have had a 64 ounce half gallon of denatured alcohol for the $12 paid for 4 oz of Deglazer. Interesting that no ingredients are listed on the bottle!! The other Fiebing's products are great, but lived and learned on this one. Effective product, but not cost effective. Ordinary nail polish remover or denatured alcohol will work just as well at a fraction of the cost. That's what I finished my projects with when this small bottle ran out. Deglazer works as advertised. It's a bit tricky to use as is dries very fast. The smell is extreme. Be sure to use where you have a free flow of fresh air. Don't let this scare you. Just follow the instructions and all will be well.
