Best Custom White Balance for price!
This White balance filter is awesome and simple to use. Just set up your shot with any lighting of your choice. Then put this white balance filter in front of your lens according to you camera and that's it. Proper white balance every time! I would recommend this to everyone from amateur to pros! Best bang for you buck and a must have for everyone!

Bad Copy
Tested this unit against its rival the Expodisc. It did not compare, the main thing was when you shoot with this copy of a expodisc the screen or shot looks like your holding something in front of the lends that is a bad image and the camera cannot determine what it is there for rendering you with a bad image that the camera cannot determine. and the spike you want in the center of the screen looks more like wide mountain with diff spikes everywhere. I then use the expo disc $32 on ebay, and get a perfect spike in the center and an even screen shot of what looks like a grey cardTested this unit against its rival the Expodisc. It's All Relative. They All work.
Hate to say this, but I just purchased a 58mm Expo-disk (on e-Bay for $12 new!), and if I hold it up against a 77mm (ie, 70-200 mm f/2.8) and slightly cup my hand around the outside edges… you won’t believe this… but its nearly dead nuts to this JJC WB! The difference: The JJC covers the whole glass, like it’s supposed to, hence sterilizing the output with nearly perfect RGB histograms. By holding the 58mm against a larger lens… the histograms nearly match to the point where it makes no matter… only the blue is pulled back a tad, in essence, providing a slightly warmer image. Quite honestly, I prefer the warmer image. And depending on the mixed lighting, the whites are still white and the blacks are black… all with detail. Guess what? For most everything other than critical product work ... That said, if you are looking for a great WB pre-set tool, the JJC WB-F1 works just fine. Now, in contrast to those who complain about it being too “big”… and doesn’t fit in their pocket… oh my goodness. Please. I wear typical black denims whenever I shoot anything (black to reduce reflections off my clothing) and it fits just fine in the back pocket! My fear was that I would forget and sit on it… which I did! Three times already! The thing is fine and it hasn't broken either, although I will try not to make a habit of it. As far as size… really?? I can walk around with a D700 with a grip attached and a 70-200 all day long on a comfortable shoulder strap… I’m only 5’8’ with a thin build… has never been an issue. This tool is no bigger nor obtrusive than my rig. Also, for those who say this is hard to use… again… oh my goodness… picture holding the rig I just described, pointed up to a light source with one hand… yes I do it all the time… and simply lay the stupid thing over the lens for a quick second and snap the pre-shot. Done. Bottom line, this item is a good buy and does the job. MUCH easier than shooting a card. I love this system. Wish I had gone this way a long time ago. And if you are still on the fence about buying something like this… then reach up into your kitchen cabinet and grab a white Melitta coffee filter and shoot a pre-set through that. Compared to any of these systems, you will be surprised to see that it is all relative. I have to laugh at all these companies and all the hype out there about “precision” white balance - it's a real hoot! First off, there is NO precision with this stuff. Especially in mixed lighting. There are way too many variables. The key is to make sure white items in your pic are white, black is black, and both with detail. Then you have to decide if want a warmer image, which you can later adjust in post (even JPG's in Light Room), or if you have a pro body, you can edit color output in camera(yes after you set a custom WB) So if you want this item, buy it. It simply works. Oh, also, if you want to warm up your image, you can always use a correction filter behind it when you shoot the pre-set. That’s what the newer design Expo “warm” filter does… and they charge us $85 for it. Crazy.
