A single girl en route to a family wedding gets swept up in a fight between a rogue government agent and the FBI in this globe-trotting action comedy from director James Mangold (WALK THE LINE, 3:10 TO YUMA). June Havens (Cameron Diaz) is preparing to board a flight back home for her sister's wedding when she literally bumps into Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) in the middle of a busy airport. A few minutes later, they're making small talk on the plane when June excuses herself to the bathroom, and all hell breaks loose in the fuselage. By the time June emerges Roy has killed everybody on board, including the pilots. After crash-landing the plane in a darkened cornfield, Roy tells June that she should expect a visit from government agents, but warns her that by cooperating with them she risks almost certain death. The following day, Roy's prediction comes true when June is confronted by an imposing gang of government spooks who come under heavy fire while bombarding her with questions about her mysterious traveling companion. Suddenly, Roy is back, and he's once again whisking June away to safety. But what do the agents want, and why do they insist that Roy is the one to be feared, and not them? Before long the girl who never traveled far from home is off on a wild adventure that will take her from the tropics to Austria, France, and Spain. Somewhere amidst all of the confusion and gunfire, June begins to forge a bond with Roy. Unfortunately, it's never quite clear whether her unpredictable protector is one of the good guys or the bad guys, and by the time Roy reveals that he's attempting to protect a valuable new energy source, there's no time for questions. Not Believable
I watched the first 15 minutes and thought it was entertaining so I purchased the Blu Ray disc. I see why this disc is so cheap. The film is frankly boring with non stop shooting. I had to turn it off before even before completing an hour of viewing. How does one person shoot and kill a thousand people without even getting a scratch? This is like Rambo but with Tom Cruise.

Non-stop action from beginning to end
Cameron Diaz is June Havens a women who took over her fathers car restoration business after he passed away. She runs into Roy Miller (Tom Cruise) an the airport in Kansas and is unknowingly used to smuggle a revolutionary new battery on board a plane. June soon finds herself in the middle of a battle of agencies that all want the battery and the only thing keeping her alive is Roy. This is a great action movie along the lines of Cruise's other films like Mission Impossible. The pace is fast paced and the action never stops. Diaz and Cruise work very well together in this movie. Additional Cast Members include: Peter Sarsgaard, Maggie Grace, Paul Dano, Marc Blucas, Viola Davis,and Jordi Mollà Anyone who loves a great action movie will enjoy this one. This is one of the summer blockbusters I was looking forward to watching despite the so-so reviews it recieved. I like Tom Cruise, I like Tom Cruise even more when he is in "Action Mode" for such movies as The Mission Impossible Trilogy, Minority Report and the like, but what about this one? Action? Check! Chases? Check! Good looking stars who can carry the movie? Check! It's not "Remains Of The Day" people, It's a summer popcorn flick, and a very good one at that. Leave your brain at the door and enjoy. I know I will once again when I buy it on BluRay.

Here's a good test: You see a movie in one of those $1 movie theaters that show feature films months after it's been released and then you like it so much you spend an extra $12.54 to watch it at home. That was my experience. Cruise plays a rouge agent who is a combination of adrelelin and calm conversation. Part James Bond, part Die Hard and part "Chuck". Happenstance crosses his path with Cameron Diaz's life "and action and humor ensues". If you like fast paced action with no lulls, you'll enjoy this film. It must have come out at the same time as something else heavy because it's odd I missed this one before. There's a lot of low priced Brand New ones on eBay, well worth the less than Walmart pricing. You'll be entertained. I actually put it in the "Excellent" rating, although I might ... WRONG MOVIE TYPE I DONT HAVE BLU RAY
