Before I bought it I asked though if it was the clamp with the yellow pads or the one with the black pads, because the product image showed 2 different clamps. The seller said it was the yellow model. I received the black model. (note: other differences aside from color). The return was no hassle and every communication was positive with the seller.

    Excellent product

    Its an excellent product to upgrade your macbook from m-sata to nvme. I used it to may 13" mac pro late 2015 model, no problems with hibernate or functions. Installed mojave os with no problems ang blazing fast. Take note though that you have to prepare a bootable usb mac os installer. The easiest way is to create it on the mac book that you are going to upgrade, just make sure you have to update your mac os to the latest before creating the usb installer. After creating the OS installer, install this together with the new nvme drive. Insert this first to the motherboard tightly then insert the nvme drive. Cover the back case, turn on power while holding the "Option" key, choose the mac os installer then everything is automated. Thats it. Worth it!

    The Little Apple Hacker

    The adapter is being used for my MacBook Pro and the item came in new condition and packaged professionally. Also, for anyone that may be curious, if you have a windows laptop or desktop, try formatting the SSD there to exFat and then use Disk Utility on your MacBook Pro and/or update the Disk Utility. The old Disk Utility won't help you too much and may not even recognize the new SSD replacement because it's formatted originally to NTFS.

    Works as described.

    This little adapter made it possible to use a standard M2 NVMe SSD in my 2014 MBP. Transfer speeds are amazing and M2 SSD's are way cheaper than Apple equivalents. The adapter came with a layer of capton-tape to ensure it against interference from other components. All in all a great little product!

    Worked with an Early 2014 model 11" MacBook Air. Used with a Muskin NVMe SSD

    It worked. I had to create a USB installer, but after installing the SSD with this adapter, it booted up just fine. I went from 128 GB of storage to 1 TB. I used a Mushkin SSD, but many have seemed to prefer Samsung.

    Excellent adapter

    I was able to upgrade my MacBook Air with a new off the shelf SSD drive. Worked immediately and was easy to install. It came with a screwdriver that fit the screws on the MacBook. I am very satisfied.
