Better than OEM
Install was easy. I had to drill out the screws holding the vehicle locking button on the old garnish, however, the new garnish came with replacement screws to mount the vehicle locking button to it. All hardware necessary was included with the new garnish. The color is a close match, but not perfect - I can live with that. The main thing is that with the new garnish, a very light touch is needed on the hatch button to get it to open. With the old garnish, getting the hatch open always took more effort and fiddling than with this new garnish. The reinforcing piece for the hatch button seems to make it almost trivial, in comparison to the old garnish, to open the hatch. Toyota would have done well if the original garnish worked as well as this one. To anyone who has a Prius from this ... Install was easy. The blue was a little darker than my 2005 Prius (probably matching the original color better than the color now after 16 years of sun fading) but close enough. Install is not hard but no instructions were included so you have to find your own video for some helpful tips.
