    The original vent base is metal, replacement is plastic. I replaced the dome, fan blade and screen with parts from the new unit. All parts fit perfectly. The first time I closed the vent, the cover side of the lift mechanism came out about 1/2 inch on the crank end. The cover is secured by pressure studs from the frame. No replacement as I used parts, not whole unit. Bent piece of flat metal, epoxy and it works. Don't trust the lift. Securement could be better.

    Easy replacement part.

    Perfect fit and and easy replacement for my broken unit. Would have been 5 stars but it does not come with the screws for installation. I was able to reuse my old screws but would have been an issue on a new install.

    Measure your garnish depth

    Product inner garnish trim did not work. Specs did not say how deep inner trim was. Had to use my old one .Luckily the old one was not damaged .

    the holes didnt line up but made it fit the inside plastic depth finishing not of depth used the old one over all got it to work
