Neat device, but hoping for a firmware upgrade
The 'quality' is a tossup, because of a couple of issues I'll mention later. Overall, it is useful as an alarm, timer and reminder. Like that the sound level can be adjusted. One of the reasons I opted for this is that the iHome desktop clock/radio I've been using for a couple of years has a low volume on its nap timer function and half the time I don't hear it. One issue that should be fixed is that I have a weekday wakeup alarm and I can't seem to be able to tell it to cancel the alarm for just the next day. It interpret's my request as canceling the entire weekday alarm setting, which I then either have to recreate directly, or turn it back on with the iPhone app. Turning it off in the app is the slightly inconvenient option but that runs the risk of forgetting to turn it back ... Other issue is it sometimes does not understand my instruction, no mater how clearly I speak. Example: If I say "set timer for 50 minutes" it will think I said 15 minutes. Workaround is to set at 49 or 51 minutes.

Looks nice but of little value.
The product is well made but of little added value to the Echo Dot itself. Definitely not worth the additional money as it does nothing to enhance the function, only the appearance of the Echo Dot.
