    Happily surprised

I'm pretty seasoned in the pedal world and when I bought this, on accident basically, I was nervous about it. I got the older 18V version, I got a voltage doubler from sweet water. This thing sounds great and if I wasnt so paranoid about tone loss itd be fine not being in a bypass loop. Sounds great for the clean dynamic big sweep sounds I need, yet not over bearing. Good stuff!

    Maybe for You

This is not a reflection on the seller. I never had a pedal or played with one before. I wanted one because it's a no brainer. Every guitar player needs to play with one for a while simply because guitar players over the decades have incorporated them in and with their playing and thus music. You've heard them. Try one, if you don't like it don't buy or use one. In the last third of my life I wanted to try one because of my influences in my youth. I bought this product because of its versatility. Being new to one, this was important. I like it; it adds spice to my lead playing but I use it sparingly. I don't regret buying it. I'm glad I have it. And I'm still learning.

  • The only tears you'll cry are tears of joy with the Crybaby 535Q

The Dunlop 535Q. This wah is pretty good at everything. It comes equipped with a Q adjuster that can be used to help shape your wah sound. Im not exactly sure to this day what Q means but I think its something with the tone. Above that is a volume knob and then on the right theres that big chrome knob. That selects the wahs range, and works as a selector, not an actual knob. (switching between 5 presets). All the way open gives you that wild full spectrum sound that you can get some crazy flexing from. Selecting the other settings will begin to reign in the wah's peak and depth to a more managable sweep that covers more of the mids. This is good for playing those really funky styles. There is also a sidestep kinda actuator on the side that turns on or off the boost. While I find this ...

  • The all-in-one Cry Baby for all styles of music

After hearing so much about the 535Q, I took it upon myelf to try one out. Indeed, it is a versatile wah, with interesting options built in to satisfy all kinds of musical needs. The only issue with the wah is this: it's only good for you if you like that unmistakable Cry Baby tone. Don't expect it to emulate any other types of wah, because at the end of the day, it is still a Cry Baby and aptly sounds like many different Cry Babys in one pedal. Another qualm is the boost function - use it sparingly as it can get noisy at the extreme end.

  • Excellent pedal with more options than a standard wah

This unit is solidly built and sounds great. You can tweak the Q and sweep and add a volume boost, which provides more flexibility than a standard wah. I also like the feel of the pedal under my foot and find it more controllable than other pedals I've tried.
