    TEARS OF STONE CD BY THE CHIEFTANS

    I HEARD ONE OF THE SONGS FROM THIS DISC ON OUR LOCAL PUBLIC RADIO STATION. IT WAS THE RECORDING OF JOAN OSBOURNE SINGING "THE RAGLAN ROAD". HER PERFORMANCE OF THIS SONG BLEW ME AWAY. I CAN'T IMAGINE ANYONE DOING IT ANY BETTER. SHE ABSOLUTELY NAILED EVERY NOTE. ALTHOUGH I'M NOT A HUGE CELTIC MUSIC FAN, I IMMEDIATLY WENT IN SEARCH OF THE CD. ONCE I RECEIVED IT, I PLAYED IT ASAP. I WAS VERY PLEASED TO FIND THAT THE MAJORITY OF THE SONGS WERE JUST AS SPECIAL. THE CHEIFTANS TAKE THE BACK SEAT AND LET SOME OF THE BEST FEMALE ARTISTS IN THE WORLD FLAUNT THEIR TALENTS. THE DISC DEFINITLEY HAS A STRONG CELTIC SOUND WHICH I ONLY LIKE IN SMALL DOSES,BUT THE PERFORMANCES ARE DONE SO WELL I'M GLAD I GAVE IT A TRY. THIS DISC IS A RARE GEM.

    Music

    I LOVE this Cd...its very eclectic and relaxing. Its not my normal choice of music but it definitely made an impression on me. I highly recomend this to anyone who likes to take road trips and listen to great music!

    Not My Kind of Music

    The only reason I purchased this cd was to have the track of Sissel's to put on my iPod.The track was not available on iTunes. I therefore barely listened to the other tracks and realized this was not the type of music that appeals to me.
