The Solutions Manua l, prepared by Jan W. Simek of California Polytechnic State University, contains complete solutions to all the problems. The Solutions Manual also gives helpful hints on how to approach each kind of problem. This supplement is a useful aid for any student, and it is particularly valuable for students who feel they understand the material but need more help with problem solving. Appendix 1 of the Solutions Manual summarizes the IUPAC system of nomenclature. Appendix 2 reviews and demonstrates how acidity varies with structure in organic molecules, and how one can predict the direction of an acid-base equilibrium. Brief answers to many of the in-chapter problems are given at the back of this book. These answers are sufficient for a student on the right track, but they are of limited use to one who is having difficulty working the problems.

    Amazing resource for studying

    This solutions manual provides detailed answers to all the practice problems in the Organic Chemistry 6th ed. Textbook. This is an absolute necessity for studying properly (by doing the practice problems). It has detailed descriptions and diagrams relevant to the question. I'm currently getting an A in my class because of this book.

    With care

    This book has some errors, so be careful - it's early in the semester and at least one "solution" is completely wrong - which can be quite confusing if you are using the manual to back check you work!

    OChem Solutions Manual

    This is an outstanding study tool for any student that wants to master OChem. This book as step-by-step solutions to the book problems and includes detailed explanations. If the student puts the time and effort into working through the problems, this is an excellent tool to aid in the understanding of the material.

    I really love this solution Manual. It is a bit tear on the cover but that is expected. I bought this for self-learning so I really don't care...a little tape will do the trick. No pages missing so its good. Thanks again.

    HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

    I highly recommend this book. It gives you the answers to every problem in the book and shows you exactly what to do. This helps so much in organic!
