Workout Video
I bought this tape because I bought the stepper system to help tone some flabby muscle. The video that came with the stepper got broke. I saw this Kathy Smith video online and thought what the heck I'll give it a try. It seems to be a fairly simple workout and I love the cool down after the actual workout. Another great feature is there are three levels of workout. Beginner, intermediate and expert. One downfall to the video that I found was after starting the warmup and then going through the workout, you fast forward the VHS tape to the cool down and by the time you have it fast forwarded your heart rate actually drops down. There is one more feature that's pretty neat that I failed to mention, It has a heart rate counter on the video after the workout to see if you are having a ... Good Workout.
I have owned this video for about 6 years now. The VCR ate my original tape, so I had to get a duplicate. I must say, after all those years, I can still get a good workout with this video. I am in moderately good shape, but it still gets my heart pumping. Sometimes I just do the first part as a warm up and then switch to another tape for a more intense workout, but overall it is a good buy. The steps are easy enough to pick up, and things are not to repetitive, as in some step workouts. It is actually kind of fun to go through. Kathy Smith workout tape
I had a hard time finding step workout tapes. It seems like everyone is doing Yoga or Pilates, so I was happy to find a step tape that I like. A friend recommended Kathy Smith and I'm enjoying the tape. It is a good solid workout that is easy to follow. The music, hairstyles... are a little dated, but the workout is challenging.
