Part was defective. Removed old noisy blower motor and installed new part. New motor did not run. I reinstalled old motor, but, now it no longer worked! Took car to repair shop which diagnosed the fault as blower motor resister failure. Shop replaced resistor and reinstalled new motor, which overheated. Shop removed old motor and reinstalled old 'noisy' motor which does work. So now I am back to my original condition with a noisy blower motor, a bad 'new' motor and $436.33 repair bill.
