About this product

Product Information

Based on the Italian film L'ULTIMO BACIO and directed by Tony Goldwyn (A WALK ON THE MOON), THE LAST KISS is a film about growing pains and choices. Nearing his 30th birthday, marriage-phobic Michael (Zach Braff) loves his live-in girlfriend Jenna (Jacinda Barrett), but worries that there are no surprises left in his life. Enter Kim (Rachel Bilson), a vibrant college student Michael meets at a wedding. Soon, he finds himself treading in dangerous territory; he loves Jenna, but is intrigued by Kim and attracted to both her and to the possibilities that a new relationship offers. With Kim, Michael not only feels 10 years younger, but also as if anything is possible. Now, he has to decide if pursuing Kim is worth the risk of losing Jenna, and if the life he has planned with Jenna is in fact the life he really wants.Michael, meanwhile, is not the only one experiencing growing pains; his friends have their own relationship issues. Izzy (Michael Weston) is battling heartbreak after being dumped by his longtime girlfriend. Chris (Casey Affleck) and his wife already have a rocky relationship, and are feeling the stress of having their first baby. Kenny (Eric Christian Olsen) is the only one without relationship issues--but that's only because he is determined to remain a single ladies' man. Then there are Jenna's parents, Anna (Blythe Danner) and Stephen (Tom Wilkinson), who are facing their own issues after 30 years of marriage. THE LAST KISS looks at relationships from all angles, and shies away from finger-pointing and laying blame. Instead, it acknowledges that the world is full of temptation, and that growing up is serious business. Braff does a nice job of conveying Michael's confusion without asking for sympathy.

  • Disappointing in every way

To sum up this movie, Zach Braff's character is in a relationship with a girl who he has gotten pregnant and it freaks him out. So, he begins talking to this other girl, and the storyline goes exactly where you think it will. After watching this, I am left wondering "what was the purpose?". I feel like it was going for a "life sucks so much that it's amusing" feel, but it lacked the deeper storyline that I feel it needed to pull that off. Instead, it came off as very cut and dry. The only part they did right was the suck part. I say this, being a fan of Zach Braff. So I take no pleasure in giving it a bad review. Unfortunately, I have to because I did not like anything about this movie.

  • Great story of pre marriage jitters tells it like it IS

A great movie. Several stories overlap each other in the lives of friends. The main character is 'everyguy'. As you follow his choices it is really close to reality rather than movie magic. I really thought it was excellent writing and movie making. Watch it. Max Rainet. If you found this information at all helpful, please take a moment to select the "yes" button below. • The Last Kiss

The movie was very good. It was somewhat of a "Crash" or "Mystic River" type movie. It portrayed different love lives and different problems that couples experience in their lives. Each ends in a different way and each learns something new about himself/herself. It really is a great movie. There is no grand plot. Nor is their a climax in the film that is going to make you say "WHAT?!?! NO WAY??!" but it is reality and either you can handle it or you can't. Its a great movie. I highly recomend it.

  • Awesome Movie

I love this movie. It takes you through every emotion possible you are happy, sad, you laugh, you cry. The story is about fear of becoming bored with your own life, and how you have to realize that your life is never set in stone and how you always have the power to change it either in a good way or in a bad way. Its all in your hands. I think its a must see for anyone who loves a real life story of love, life and everything in between!

  • Ok movie

Movie was okay. Had a really abrupt ending. Wish they had gone into more detail on the ending. Rachel Bilson was great in her role, as usual. The other cast was good with what they had to work with but the movie just wasnt topline. I bought the movie because I like Rachel Bilson as an actress. Not one that I would watch repeatedly.
