    Super good lens for fast action & daylight!

    This is a fantastic lens for your Power Zoom-capable Pentax camera. The motor is swift and quiet, it can be used as a macro, and the electronics are top-notch. Look for one without any dust, haze, or mold inside it, but if mold does develop, it can be cleaned out because the elements are not permanently cemented in. This lens is great for when you need medium to medium-long range zooming, and is compatible with all the PZ functions (auto-zoom, zoom effect, and focal length memory). It also has infrared focusing marks, which is uncommon on the more modern zoom lenses. The power zoom and auto-retract feature will work with Pentax DSLRs, but none of the other fancy effects do. This is best paired with a PZ-series camera.

    Excellent amateur zoom and a bargain but a bit noisy.

    I read several reviews by better photographers than me and they all said it was great for the money so I bought it. They were all right, the image quality is excellent - obviously not as good as a $1000 lens but I don't need that nor will I notice the difference. The only downside to it is what everyone else says, it's noisy on auto. If you are into wildlife pics then this isn't for you, it will scare them away. Integrates perfectly with my Pentax K-30.
