Lowbrow buffoonery hit commercial highs with 1994's DUMB AND DUMBER. When best friends and aspiring pet groomers Lloyd Christmas (Jim Carrey, in a star-making role) and Harry Dunne (Jeff Daniels) get fired, Lloyd convinces Harry to travel to Colorado to search for his dream woman--Mary Swanson (Lauren Holly). Little does Lloyd know that Mary's in Aspen trying to locate her kidnapped husband. Soon the dimwitted pair have gotten mixed up in the crime, and their wacky exploits are leading the FBI straight to the crooks. The Farrelly Brothers are at the peak of their twisted craft with this gut-busting comedy. But between such gross-out gags as Hary's Exlax overdose and Lloyd's deliriously over-the-top dream sequence, it's really the chemistry between Carrey and Daniels--and the charming naiveté of these two dunces--that lend the film a disarming sweetness.

Dumb and Dumber
Lloyd and Harry are two lovable and friendly, but very stupid friends, who struggle with every aspect of life. Working as a limo driver, Lloyd drops off the beautiful Mary at the airport and instantly falls in love with her. Watching Mary through a window, Lloyd witnesses her leave her case behind. Grabbing her case, Lloyd is too late, but soon thinks of the next best thing. Dragging Harry with him, Lloyd heads off to Aspen to deliver her personally the case. However, Holly isn't the only person after the case, as a pair of criminals are after the same case. From beginning to end, Dumb & Dumber is sheer funny. "Dumb and Dumber" takes a good story, adds some tear-inducing comedy, some endlessly hilarious dialogue, and molds it into one of the funniest movies. It's a hilarious comedy and the ... A great Dumb and Dumber, even movie.
While these are probably the two stupidest characters ever acted out, it is done so with greatness. This movie is full of gags that will make you laugh at the absurdity of it all. The silly movie of all silly movies. You won't learn anything from watching this movie and that makes is all worthwhile. This is pure and simple entertainment. A very funny movie and one that is suitable for all but the youngest of kids. Need to relax one day and take your mind off of everything, this is the movie for your collection.While these are probably the two stupidest characters ever acted out, it is done so with greatness. Funny is in the ear of the beholder....
Extremely funny stuff here, although I will admit some just don't get it. Comedy is truly something that is funny to some, and not to others, but I find this one a classic of comedies. Some of the humor is crude, like when they sell their deceased pet to a young sightless child, (sorry, but I had to laugh)but you have to realize this is a movie, and not intended to be re-produced in real-life! Jim Carey is simply a riot in this one, as he plays a limo driver that parks at the curb and scurries to the back and pretends to be a "rich and famous" passenger flirting with women-too funny! He is on a mission to return what he thinks is lost luggage left by a most attractive woman (whom he actually marries in real life?) The luggage is filled with ransom money, and the crooks are in hot pursuit ... Extremely funny stuff here, although I will admit some just don't get it. They lose their only money-maker, a Mutt-Mobile used by Daniels to groom dogs, but he quickly redeems himself by using the proceeds to by a moped, which they ride in tandem, never even stopping for restroom breaks, which leaves them stuck together like popsicles. If you are a fan of the Three Stooges slap-stick type humor, or Mel Brooks film Blazing Saddles, then I feel you will love this one. Give it two thumbs up, for so stupid its funny!

Mock , yeah - ing - yeah - bird - yeah , - yeah- yeah. If you like movies that are so dumb they make you laugh than this is one of them. If you think its funny the first time, watch it again because odds are you missed alot. These two dorks travel from california to aspen colorado to meet a girl who is supposively gonna plug them into the social pipeline. They stumble on a million dollars, kill some rare birds and swallow " turbo lax " only to find out the toilet is broken. Two genuine dorks, but a laugh for the whole family.
