Arrived two weeks late in terrible condition. Much worse than described. Broken binding, torn pages inside (described as “good” condition). When contacted, seller says “that’s because it’s old.” I’ve bought and own many old books, and age of the book does not permit inaccurate descriptions. Terrible communication, bad experience, if you’re reading this, save yourself the hassle and DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SELLER.

  • The Scarlett O'Hara of the Oklahoma oilfields

This technicolor film about cattle ranchers VS oil drillers in Oklahoma stars Susan Hayward as Cherokee Lansing. She's smart, beautiful, and used to getting her way by wrapping men around her little finger. There's romance --- three men are in love with her, and all would be good matches in different ways. There's a strong pitch for conservation while acknowledging that oil will put Tulsa, Oklahoma on the map. We see Cherokee succeeding in a male-dominated business, earning money and respect but risking the loss of the man she truly loves. The film ends with a spectacular oilfield fire. The special effects hold up well. Why isn't TULSA as famous and beloved as GONE WITH THE WIND? Possibly because the romantic chemistry between Scarlett and Rhett was so strong. I don't think anybody ...
