kids love this story
The writer of this story used familiar sounding names for the main characters to better help children identify with them. The story has somewhat of a generic feel to it. However it tackles many things children enjoy. It has a magical snowman (Frosty??), a magical kingdom (oz???), (an evil doer Wicked witch of the west???). the main character is named Emory Elizabeth (clifford the big red dog ???). The story is a fun story with a lesson about inner strength, and sibling love and relationships. The older brother does seem wise beyond his years, even more so than the dr and the paents, but I think my children better identified with a child being the hero than an adult. My son will watch this story literally 3 times a day if we let him, and wont so much as move a muscle while doing so, and ... Magic Gift of the Snowman
This video is quite charming. It's the story of a young girl, who is very ill. Her brother Landon learns that if she doesn't find a reason to keep going she might die. He builds a snowman (Snowden) outside her window and uses him to weave a tale that he will only tell her in parts, after she has eaten and rested. It's a great story of family love and something everyone can enjoy.
