About this product

Product Information

Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is a tricky but harmless fast-talker. But he knows how to have fun, which is exactly what he sets out to do when he feigns illness and talks his parents into letting him stay home from school. The perpetually lucky Ferris enlists his hypochondriac best friend, Cameron Frye (Alan Ruck), into springing his girlfriend, Sloane Peterson (Mia Sara), from class, and the three embark on a raucous downtown Chicago adventure. From Wrigley Field to the Art Institute of Chicago to a Polish pride parade, Ferris and his friends make the most of their day off. But Ferris, Sloane, and Cameron might not get away with playing hooky. Ferris's sister, Jeanie (Jennifer Grey), is determined to prove that Ferris is faking sick and make him pay for it, and the bumbling school dean, Ed Rooney (Jeffrey Jones), is sure that Ferris is pulling a fast one. Another classic from writer-director John Hughes (SIXTEEN CANDLES, THE BREAKFAST CLUB), this film features a star turn from Broderick as the charismatic Ferris. Watch for Charlie Sheen as the juvenile delinquent in the police station and comedian Louie Anderson in a brief appearance as a flower deliveryman.

A Day Off from High School!

Lighthearted comedy entertains! The strict high school principal vs Ferris Bueller’s dog is worth the price alone! I guffawed! We all need to be reminded to live a little and not be so serious. Take time to smell the roses! Glad we watched this!

  • Day Off perfect for fantasies of wild youth.

It as hard to believe these were adult actors. It certainly gives you a flashback to your own high school misadventures. His were just more expensive/better neighborhood than I had.

  • Classic movie that reminds of the good old days

Some may see this flick as a bit childish. But to me, looking back on high school years, it brings me back to a time in my life when I had no cares or worries. From the beginning it is obvious that it is meant to be lighthearted and comedic. It does not dissappoint in the laughter department. The acting is very 1980's, but Matthew Broderick's performance is timeless. He takes a day off from school to epic proportions. Why do I like this movie? Because it makes me feel like a teenager again and it subconciously reminds us all to seize the day and to stop and smell the flowers once in a while.

  • Fantastic movie!

One of the best comic movies of all times. All the characters are great! Thanks.

  • Bueller... Bueller... Bueller??

This is my absolute favorite movie of all time! Lots of good music, great scenery and hilarious one-liners. Guaranteed to make you laugh and (if you're a kid of the 80s) possibly reminisce!! Tip: If you go to Chicago, it's a blast to do the "Bueller" tour - see how many places (from scenes in the movie) around town you can visit! :) I've done it several times and I have fun each and every time!!
