Faster shooting can quickly be obtained with this power winder.The camera uses 120 or 220 medium format film loaded into a magazine. The magazine makes loading a new roll during a shoot quick and easy. Just switch out the old magazine for one with a fresh roll of film and the shoot continues without interruption. In addition, the 503CXI can use 70mm film loaded in a special magazine as well. The addition of a compatible Hasselblad digital back even allows the 503CXI to become a 50-megapixel digital camera.When you pick up the Hasselblad, the solid workmanship stands out thanks to its comfortable weight. The body is built from a one-piece, cast aluminum alloy shell with both ¼-inch and 3/8-inch tripod sockets. It uses the interchangeable Carl Zeiss bayonet-mount CF and C lenses. These are available in focal lengths from a 30mm lens to a 500mm lens. The Hasselblad camera serves as a reliable medium format workhorse for many different applications.The SLR cameras are compatible with a variety of interchangeable accessories, including the focus screens. That means that you’ll be able to customize to fit your individual needs and tastes. And, since this is an entirely mechanical model, there’s no waiting for the device to turn on. It’s always ready to create great photos as soon as you pick it up. Weighing in at about a pound and a half the body of the Hasselblad 503CXI feels solid and substantial in your hands. The lens and magazine added to the body bring the entire package up to about 3 pounds. It is heavy enough to be sturdy but light enough to carry easily.The camera is normally used with its bright waist-level viewfinder, with a foldable hood to block out extraneous light. However, the product is compatible with pentaprism viewfinders for those who prefer to shoot at eye level. In addition, there are hoods available with diopter correction for use without glasses. The winding lever on the side both advances the film and cocks the shutter. Through-the-lens metering is accurate when using the meter prism accessory. The TTL-center weighted system with off the film metering can handle ISO settings 16 to 1000. Exposure control is fully manual via clearly marked dials on the lens. This is a camera which allows you to take your time to appreciate the workmanship. Both the outstanding photo quality and the beauty of the body are noteworthy. The high flash sync speed, which is possible thanks to the leaf shutter, stands out as a helpful feature. The top flash sync speed is a lightning-fast 1/500th of a second. You will be able to largely eliminate ghosting from ambient light to produce attractive flash photos.

    Hasselblad 503CX The Professionals Choice

    The Hasselblad 503CX is a very reliable camera that is not as old as the old stand by the 500cm with a few new tricks. You will enjoy the feel of a solid real camera not a peace of plastic. Wilt the Carl Zeiss lenses and one of a few camera backs you got a winning combination of a precision engineered quality camera. The sharpness is going to blow your mind. I get my film processed and scans of the negatives done at the same time. Did I mention how reliable the Hasselblad cameras are. That large negative is key. Pick up one to see if you enjoy the camera many photographers love.

    A Classic to replace digital

    Brings back classic "real" photography. Plan out your shots carefully. Get your film scanned and surpass anything digital with your image quality. Lens is superb, viewfinder is bright. TTL flash makes life just a little bit easier.

    Hasselblad 503CX Camera Body

    The Hasselblad 503CX has the advantage of TTL flash metering, which makes using flash systems with the appropriate connections simple. These bodies are a mechanical design which is extremely reliable and durable and builds on the 500 series with the addition of film plane metering for flash. The 503CX is versatile as it accepts the entire V series accessories which includes Hasselblad equipment made since 1957 and digital backs as well as many different film backs.

    Hasselblad 500CX

    Hi, When I bought the hasselblad 503CX, and start to estimate. I realized that mechanically the camera is good, but circuit board (TTL control circuit board part# 22575 -$250), was broken, and therefore not as described. The broken part I did not find in the camera, some screws was missing, reassembly, and adjustment was not correct .Therefore the Hasseelblad 503CX have sold as not as described.
