A long missed comedy series that was just as funny to watch now as when it was a regular on TV in the 70s! I'm very happy with the purchase - item was exactly as listed, well packed, shipped fast, plays perfectly, and an excellent value. An A++ transaction! Would not hesitate to buy from this seller again. Thank you!

    Tense, brutal and funny movie.

This crime suspense/comedy is partially tense, sometimes brutal but mostly funny. The plot is simple, yet the English accent is not always easy to follow. Brad Pitt demonstrates his true acting skills in his untypical role of an English gypsy street fighter who does not want to fit into the mold formed for him by the mob. He is the loser throughout but in the end he wins and the viewer, who normally hates superhero movies, is actually satisfied.

London and Diamond Trade - Was Buck Henry Here?

An interesting mix of diamond trade and violence in Europe, primarily London, England and Belgium. I suppose this is what made Brad Pitt's acting career. He is good in it. The rest are fair and are mainly visual scenery it seems. It's not really a European film or a Hollywood film. Perhaps it is a Buck Henry-like movie.

  • SNATCH = Fight club on caffine!

CRITICAL CONSENSUS This movie is very similar in plot, style, and characters to Guy Richie's previous work, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. However, Snatch stands on its own as stylish, plot-twisting, frenetic entertainment. Also, Brad Pitt puts in a very good performance. SYNOPSIS A diamond heist gone helter-skelter, the rough and tumble world of bare knuckle boxing, a colorful Irish gypsy and...a dog. Writer-director Guy Ritchie’s highly anticipated Snatch is a rollicking ride through London’s gangster world, the bustling diamond district and a rowdy gypsy camp. Diamond thief and courier Franky Four Fingers (Benicio Del Toro) arrives in London en route to New York to deliver a huge diamond to boss Avi (Dennis Farina). In his mission to offload smaller stones to Avi’s ...

  • Lock, Stock... but Bigger and Better

Folowing on from the very enjoyable and original low budget Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, this could almost be considered Lock, Stock part II as it reunites most of the cast and crew and it's another gangster movie set in London. However, although the stories are similar there are enough differences and new twists to allow this movie to be considered as a good and original movie in its own right. Snatch starts with some jocular credits, and the robbery of an Antwerp diamond merchant's office by four thieves disguised as Hasidic Jews. Initially appear in black and white on a succession of CCTV screens, then when they reach their target, they're in colour as they grab the guns concealed on the chest of their leader. Seizing an 86-carat, size of your fist, diamond the robbers head to ...

  • Good story line, funny, could do without the stuff that made it R rated!

I watched this movie with my Dad. It was funny. After buying it for myself, I realize that there were a lot of things I hadn't noticed when I was younger, like all the swearing. It is still has a good movie line and I think as I get even older, there will be things in it that I will notice that will make me sad that a good movie that didn't require those things to make it good put them in so people would THINK it was good. I'm 16 and when I wanted to show my Grandma, who helped me get it, my Grandpa read the cover and said we should watch something else. After watching it when he did that, I know I can't share it with my little brother or with my even younger cousins. Sad. Oh well, for now, I'm glad I have it and can enjoy it with Dad when we get to see him. I would probably buy it ...
