I searched for this book in an earlier, higher quality edition, cheap. Fine
This edition is a fine book. I got it for less than four dollars delivered to my home by mail. Excellent condition. Put some nice stickers over the name in the front. Got older edition because of price and also because of better quality of printing and illustrations, which are outstanding. I read it as soon as it came. A great introduction to the American Indian before later and current books have become "politically correct". This book is wholesome and not sad to for the learner. Very educational. I got several Indian books at different reading levels, for about 20 dollars total. This is the beginning level one, after the learner has already studied about Indians and Pilgrams in grade 2. About gr 3 through 6. For the student who likes Indians. Also high school and college if used as a ... This edition is a fine book. I got it for less than four dollars delivered to my home by mail. I bought this as a gift for my grand children and the family library. Not for letting a little child take off and read alone and draw and color in it. This is for serious learning, likely the younger child to be read along with an older one or a parent, which beats by far just reading time wasting fiction. Good fiction is good. Kill time reading does nothing for anyone. Also useful for the art student to study the illustrations. And the historian. I have the feeling these illustrations are accurate. Or at least look like they may be. Now let us get practically. If speaking of a new edition at the list price of today's downsized, cheap photograph of printing, etc, my praise would be less and I would say, read the student read it at the school or city library.
