  • Outstanding series of Fantasy Novels!

"A Crown of Swords" is book seven of "The Wheel of Time" series by Author Robert Jordan. Everyone always compares Jordan to Tolkien but I think he stands out on his own. His characters are complex and tangible, you feel as if you are in the story right along side the protaginists. I was thoroughly hooked in the first novel! Jordan's female characters are as strong as the males, something not generally seen in most of the fantasy genre. This series is equally enjoyable for a young audience a well as older. I am looking forward to reading these to my son! I had originally bought this series as it was published but lost part of the collection in a move, so I am using Ebay to complete it again with first print hardcovers.

  • One of the Best of the Best....

This is book seven in the Wheel of Time Series, by Robert Jordan. Every book in this series is excellent and beloved for various reasons, however a lot goes on in this book that makes you say YES! Having just read this book for the third time, I enjoyed it as much, if not more, than the first time. A rich and complex, intricately woven world in the genre of The Lord of the Rings.. this series, has wheels within wheels, and folds within folds... I bought this book because I lacked it in my collection. (Been reading my daughters) and I wanted a hard copy of it. Need it for my fourth read thru... If you want to lose yourself in a world where anything is possible, all are potentially equal, good vs bad, plots so deeply entwined and with a multitude of characters that you are sure to find one ...

  • If you pick it up...you'll never put it down.

My youngest son began reading this series years before the author passed away. He insisted that I try reading them, which I did. I love the deep character development, you can empathize with the darkest of characters with his insight, and the superior descriptive skills of Robert Jordan make you feel as if you are there in the story. I am now re-reading the entire collection and it is as if I am reading them for the first time, only noticing, and understanding, things that alluded me in the first reading because I know what is going on now. I see now that the author was giving information in the smallest of details that upon my first reading I overlooked. I never considered myself a "fantasy" reader, but this series is so fully developed that he makes even the most far fetched concepts ...
