Item arrived mid April 2024 with a Aug 2023 date, would be nice to get one at least dated 2024 since these time out in 5 years.

These items have a 10-year shelf life and once activated they will last 5 years. This information comes directly from our rep at MTI. If your alarm is manufactured in 2023 but installed in 2024 it should last until 2029.
