Product Information

The sleek, compact GR-DVL805 gives users the best of both worlds, offering a built-in digital still camera function, for shooting and downloading digital photos, in addition to the digital video. Digital stills are stored in an internal memory.The GR-DVL805 comes with a large 3.5" Amorphous Silicon LCD monitor with an anti-glare coating and wide-viewing filter for an excellent viewing perspective in virtually any light. It also provides a 10x optical zoom, and a 250x Super Digital Zoom that uses spline interpolation data to optimize resolution and smooth contours at high zoom multiples, widens the shooting and playback options. PCM digital audio provides CD-quality sound to accompany the high-quality digital video. An Auto light assists getting the best footage in difficult lighting situations. It also adds the Dual Cam feature with 2MB memory for storing digital still pictures separate from the tape. A digital still picture output is provided, and both the serial cable and CD ROM software for Windows are included to allow easy downloading of still pictures to your computer.

    JVC Mini DV DVL505U

    Bought this unit for a fellow deer hunter because it takes great video from the stand. RELATIVELY quiet operation but drawback is NO night-shot capabilities for low-light even with the GAIN set to off for this purpose and limited to 10x optical zoom and a crazy 250x digital zoom which needs a tripod to actually get to 250x for image stability. 2 MB built-in flash memory for camera only when done with video. Would highly rate this device.

    JVC GR-DVL805

    This product is alright I guess for what it does. I would not give it a bad review, because I did not really pay much for it. It seem to work ok. The only real problem I have with it is the picture is kind of grainy. I have three other JVCs and they are all earlier than this camera with better quality. To me it is not rally up to par for JVC.
