    Amazing Resource!

I love the way the lessons and games in this book are laid out. We will use this for many years to come! I highly recommend this to any child or homeschooling family!

  • Surprise! They like it!

Highly recommended math supplement for homeschoolers, those who wish to keep up on math skills during the summer or for students requiring remedial help (and for students bored with your typical elementary math book). Forget the think-tank on how to teach math - give this book to your kids and let them enjoy learning without the hinderence of "doing school". While we do not follow a strict math curriculum, the kids still delighted in this out-of-the-box mode of learning. My kids commented, "Mommy, this isn't like school work ... I wish we could do this everyday!" Now THAT was a surprise! Games are made up from things laying around the house and do not require a special trip to the store (we used tracing paper to copy many activities). Curiosity gets the best of the kids and they will ...

  • Best math activites out there - Common Core or otherwise!!

Family Math was intended to encourage schools to provide workshops for parents to attend along with their school aged children. The math is constructed around high motivation games, activities and investigative experiences. I like using it in the class with just the students. Parents are busy and there are inevitably kids who do not get to participate in the evening workshop because mom or dad is unavailable. Kids have so much fun using the various activities, that they forget that they are learning. What's even better, if the kids know the rules, they can teach their parents at the workshop. This shows mom and dad that the kids are really the experts!!

  • Family Math

Ive not had it long enough to give a thorough report but I can say that it seems like it will be VERY useful and very fun. Im homeschooling my PDD, adhd son age 8. Learning math with useful, everyday applications is VERY helpful especially to a child with processing issues! I would recommend this as a supliment not as a primary math curriculum.
