About this product

Product Information

Ultra-independent writer/director William Winckler (best known for cult favorite THE DOUBLE-D AVENGER) returns with this campy horror flick. A group of scientists--who seemingly will never learn that this playing God stuff is just not a good idea--have resurrected Frankenstein's monster in an isolated lab off the California coast. They've also created a gruesome half-man, half-amphibian creature, and intend to use both for the good of the country. But when their brainwashing techniques fail and the monsters run amok, the scientists and the surrounding community are in for a predictably rough time. Fun, silly, and low-budget, this movie sees predestined to join Winckler's other creations in the cult canon.

  • Bikini Babes meet Battling Beasts in B&W Beach Bash

This fun little movie is a wonderfully wacky & largely successful attempt to do a Universal-inspired monster rally done in the style of a low budget fifties sci-fi flick filmed in glorious black & white, all with swimsuit models & a stripper added to the mix. Not only does it feature the Frankenstein Monster & a thinly disguised Creature from the Black Lagoon, but it also has the Monster's Bride, a Werewolf (played by Butch Patrick!), a trio of mad scientists out to do their bit in the battle against terrorism ("In the war on terror, the ultimate terror wins!"), & even the ghost of Victor Frankenstein himself played by some guy made-up to look like the director's favorite actor Vincent Price. Sure, all the monsters look like they are made out of cheap rubber, but that was always one of the ...

  • Bad effort on a good genre

Bad acting, poor script, bad props. You must applaud current attempts to resurrect the old 1930s-1940s style monster movies, but this helps kill them. Come on. Get it right.
