    Great Rods

    Best value out there ! I have several FX rods from 6ft to 9ft and have never had a problem. Use them mainly as Inshore Rods . Have caught many Redfish , Speckled trout , and small drum with no issues. Although they are listed as Freshwater Rods don't be fooled they will handle Saltwater also. I even use the 9ft rod in the Surf !

    Product was fine out of the box. I have it set up, but it hasnt been used yet. So in fairness, I cant rate it. I bought a smaller, lighter (5'6") version of the same line (Shimano FX) a year ago for an 8 yr old. The inner ring of the tip guide failed and popped out. I like Shimano rods. I have 2 of my own for surfcasting and closer inshore saltwater use. So, I'm optimistic that this rod will perform as expected.

    Great fishing rod

    I own 8 of these rods both spinning and bait cast versions .they are inexpensive ; very high quality and suitable for fishermen of all abilities . I have outfitted all of my rods with high end reels and utilized them to catch a large variety of fish in all sizes

    For the money it's a good rod. Haven't got to use it yet but I'm sure it well works fine to fish for catfish.
