    Brand Name IDE Hard Drive

    I bought this Brand Name IDE Hard Drive to restore a really old (Compaq) laptop system. You would not expect a high performance from such old technology of cause. However, this is exactly what you need to bring an old laptop with IDE (PATA) drives to life.

    40GB Hitachi Hard Drive

    Drive capacity, speed (RPM), and cache were the main factors considered. The unit provided an economical solution for my laptop that needed a hard drive replacement. This unit significantly improved the laptop performance. Additionally; hard drive capacity increased 300% over the hard drive originally installed.

    Pretty good hard drive so far.

    What I liked about the hard drive most is that it took about 5 minutes to install, format, and have up and completely running properly. I purchased this hard drive as a back up hard drive on my server. No problems as of yet with the drive. Very satisfied. I will be purschase another 1TB (EIDE) to even back this one up. Once you loose precious data, there is no such thing as too many back up drives. Thanks.

    hitachi hard drives dependable

    these are very dependable drives and seam to out last other brands of laptop hard drive they are quiet and dont run very hot like some other drives. Hitachi drive are my companys first choice.I rate these 5 stars thanks Hitachi for a great product.for 20g to 250g outstanding service
