Beefy phone with long battery life.
Rock solid rugged phone. A bit bigger than most phones. A days use took 6% of the battery life. Will fit in a shirt pocket but it's a bit heavy for that. Excellent sound quality. Note: the open box models are NOT covered by Sonim's warranty.

Dual SIM feature is misleading
Dual SIM feature does NOT work. I have been in direct contact with SONIM regarding my XP8 on this issue. They have been borderline rude in telling me that the dual SIM feature is for "future development" and is not available- like in a "how dare you even ask that" way. However on page 21 on their own user manual it outlines how to enable and use both SIM slots. So- if you live and work in rural and/or remote areas where you have to piece together cell coverage from different carriers do not rely on this phone to do that. You will either have to carry a second phone, or just find a different brand ( like my co-workers have done) that will actually function with dual SIM slots. On the XP8's, as soon as the phone detects there are two SIM cards, it automatically disables the #2 slot ... Dual SIM feature does NOT work.
