  • The absolute finest card for games and media on AGP-based systems

I have used EVGS's nVidia-based video cards before with excellent results in both Windows and Linux systems; based on that, and wanting to "max out" my aging Athlon-based Ubuntu Linux box, I wanted the fastest AGP card I could get. There was one catch: it needed to work with AGP 4X. Most high-end AGP cards will only work on AGP 8X; this is one of the few that will work with the slower 4X bus. As with any high-end card, it's bulky (it needs a full-length slot, with room to breathe) and hungry (it needs an extra IDE hard drive tap for extra power, and wants at least a 350W power supply). Fortunately, I had these. Once installed, the card worked flawlessly. I'd had an old GeForce 2 GTS in this machine, so the "nouveau" driver had already been installed; once X started, I was prompted to ...

  • EVGA GeForce 7800 GS Co (AGP)

I have zero complaints about the performance of this video card. If you have an AGP 8X slot and need a card this is one to consider. This is a large card. It was at least 1.5 inches longer than the GeForce 5200 it replaced. This card requires a direct molex connection to the power supply. These are the only things that need to be addressed before purchase. Make sure you have an adequate power supply with a spare connection. Make sure you have the space. It was tight in my box, came close to abutting the hard drive cage, but it fit. When you buy this be sure to check the SKU number. the EVGA GeForce 7800 was available in a variety of clockings. 256A8N506AX is for the GS CO which is overclocked out of the box. Also be sure you are getting the AGP version. There is a PCIe slot version as ...

  • Very dependable and reliable AGP Video Card.

Used this particular type Video Card for Years. Now is being use on an older AGP Server for Home Surveillance DVR. Very reliable and consistent.

  • Flawless

WOW This card is smooth. Easy to install and very easy to overclock. This video card delivers great graphics with very smoth lines. A winner in my book, and if needed I will buy another if this one ever goes bad.

  • Great Prouct For AGP high end GPUs

A High-End AGP Vidio Card...Acceptable price if you don't want to uprade your MB with one of pci-e slot. I would recommand it for home and usual office applications and middle-range games.
