In sharp contrast to its forebears, Frogger: The Great Quest, a 3D action-adventure title, is a distinct departure from the 2D twitch-oriented gameplay that made the series famous. Having grown tired of life in Firefly Swamp, a bipedal Frogger sets out to find the girl of his dreams, who, in true fairy-tale tradition, just so happens to be a princess. With the hope that her kiss will be able to turn him into a prince, Frogger embarks on his perilous quest with the aid of his Fairy Frogmother, who grants him three gifts. Standing between the lovesick frog and eternal happiness is a cast of villainous characters and 20 levels of treacherous terrain ranging from desert wastelands to swampy towns.<br><br>Starting out, Frogger has the ability to spit wads of goo out of his mouth, and glide for short distances by puffing up his throat. However, treasure in the form of magic stones can be collected in the game's many stages, which in turn can be traded for new skills and abilities. Frogger can also pick up coins and gems for use in purchasing hints, tips, and character bios.<br><br>During the course of his journey Frogger will encounter a host of kooky characters, both friend and foe with names like Dusty the Bone Dog, Slick Willy, and Stripe. Humor-filled cut-scenes interspersed between levels help the whimsical story unfold.

    FROGGER THE GREAT QUEST

    Well all i can say is the graphics are great but the game is very hard to control. When jumping frogger most of the time over jumps everything.I was getting mad about this but kept playing. right stick does really nothing unless you push it down in the middle then left stick will rotate to see where you are going. other then that its rough to play when jumping. if you get mad easy you might not like this game. but i played for like 4 hours and im still at one location. looking for things you need is hard to find. but if you want a game thats hard to beat you must buy this game. i dont think i'll finish this game till next year lol cause its so hard to do. anyway its not frogger easy like the original game. at least you dont get hit by cars in this game you get eaten by fish. lol anyway ...

    I'm a Biased Writer

    After five years, my youngest son, who is 8, still enjoys playing Frogger: the Great Quest. He's worn out the other disc though. What's extra sweet for me is that he likes the game because it's fun, and not because his dad is the voice of "Slick Willy", the attack cats, and a variety of other voices on the game. I recorded this in 2000 along with my good friend, Steve Brodie who passed away shortly before the game was released. It's dedicated to his memory. Check out "Frogger: the Great Quest" on the Internet Movie Database (imdb) online for more interesting trivia.

    Great Childhood Game

    I remember always playing this game back when I was only 8 and I loved it as much as I do now! It's definitely a game that I like to pull my ps2 out an play for hours on! I can't wait to bust this game out later down the road an having it be ancient in the future. I will never forget this game.

    Frogger: The Great Quest

    The game Is so great It Is better then the one when all you had to do was cross the street to the other side, yes I remmeber that one. I am going to get the other series to this game. I am a (62) year old grandmother that play's game like I was a little kid. enjoy It passes my time, when I am not playing video games I am on my computer.
