    Well built mid-range gaming card

    I had two cards to compare, the GigaByte WindForce 3 GB and the PNY VCGGTX10606PB. Just opening the box, the GigaByte card says quality- foam cushion, anti-static bag and little covers for each port. And a driver disk. A large copper heat pipe is visible at the top of the card. And the card has a back plate. The PNY comes in a just a formed plastic container. The card has no back plate or visible heat pipes. Once in the system, the GigaByte card was whisper quiet and quite cool. Running the Heaven benchmark it stayed well below 70 C (closer to 65). The PNY ran about ten degrees hotter, though was also very quiet. One caution- my case is limited to cards that are no more than 4.4" tall. The GigaByte card is about 5" tall.     Unfortunately, my motherboard is old and only has a PCIe 1.0 slot that does not support this graphics card. I will not be able to use it until I upgrade my computer sometime next year.

    Quiet, smooth and easy operations with no issues.

    The GTX 1060 in general is such a good value for the money. It may not be top of the line against the 1070 or 1080, but it gives such good value and still performs excellent. The overall design of the Gigabyte GTX 1060 3GB is excellent with an attractive design including two fans and a backplate. The only thing a buyer should consider is if they can afford it, the 6GB VRam will give you better future proofing.

    Ideal Upgrade for the Money

    I work with live television & video switching and this graphics card delivers top-notch performance for the price compared to other graphics accelerator cards of this calibre out there. In addition to that I've never seen the computer I installed this card in run so incredibly fast when I thought it was fast before! Apps are up in no time. The 6 Gb Onboard RAM along with this card's resources relieve my computer's CPU of quite a bit of the hard work handling and managing live video from many sources and if you're an avid gamer, just imagine the possibilities. You'll soar to new altitudes with more muscle to compete with your opponents and you'll likely be able to score an awful lot higher in your games, leaving your opponents in the dust!     Even used it runs like new!

    I got this GPU second hand for a video editing rig I custom built. I upgraded from a GTX-1050 and the difference is night and day. Great for editing UHD footage in HitFilm (as well as making games like WarThunder look incredible.) Overall, I can see it not being a good “future proofing” investment, but for entry to mid level creative work in Adobe or HitFilm, highly recommended
