    Good rim tape for a tubeless setup—I'm using this tape on my road bike—but not perfect. I'm unsure if this is authentic 3M 8898 strapping tape, but whatever it is, it leaves a light residue, something that will need to be removed were I to need to retape my rims (and undoubtedly be a pain to do so.) I was able to feel this residue by working the tape onto the back of an aluminum sheet then ripping it off. I can feel some friction and a slight rubberyness to the spot where the tape was.

    Easy to use and economical.

    For decades I've used cloth rim tape, with mostly good results. The fact is, it worked pretty well, except for absorbing water. Cloth tape was pricey, so I tried this. Appears to work great so far.
