Funnyman "Weird" Al Yankovic stars in this comedy as George Newman, a man who takes over a low-rent TV station won by his uncle in a poker game. Newman's unconventional methods for boosting ratings include giving the station's janitor his own children's program -- with spectacularly successful results. Complications ensue when the unscrupulous head of a rival network tries to drive Newman off the air, but there's still plenty of time out for fantasy music video segments and TV bits which showcase Yankovic's talents as a parodist.

    Wow! First of all CD was shipped fast. And condition is way better than advertised, this thing is darn close to brand new. Now I order a lot of CDs but the packaging on this one was incredible. On top of cardboard protection and padded envelope the seller put a piece of cloth between the bottom of the CD and the tray to prevent any scratches. I’m speechless. Need a better grade for this seller than A+. If I find anything else in their store I need I’m buying it here. Thank you!

    "UHF" has Historical Significance.

    Weird Al is not so weird... to me. He's a genius and he's doing what he loves most, which makes all his fans happy. When he started out doing music-parody, he made a smash with a rendition of "My Bologna" that was based on a hit song with a "very similar title". Soon he was doing music-parody videos that no one could resist, and when he made a motion picture ( UHF ) the crowds went wild. It is still one of the most popular comedies ever made, and not just with Yankovic's own generation. It's just a little difficult for younger kids today to relate to the idea of small TV broadcasting stations like UHF stations I knew of when I was a kid way back when. So, I guess you could even say that "UHF" is not only a great comedy... it's a historical documentary!

    Weird Al at his Best

    A light-hearted movie that brings the many talents of Weird Al Yankovic to the screen. Add Michael Richards and you have a hilarious movie filled with quotable lines. Turn this movie on and you climb aboard a ride through insanity with your crazy uncle - the one who would do ANYTHING to make you laugh - as your guide.

    Not quite Oscar

    While the movie is not "Oscar" material it is quite entertaining. Weird Al seemed to be a bit hammy then it daned on me .. "Weird Al .. duh" from that moment on I enjoyed all he did.

    I saw it all on UHF

    Anyone who appreciates a good cornball comedy will love this! Teaching people how to fly, wheel of fish, Conan The Librarian... it will instantly turn any bad day into a chuckle. Keeps you cheering for the little guy.

    .....The most fun you can have....without being handcuffed---UHF!!!

    EVERYTHING that Weird Al does is EPIC.... THIS release is NOT the current SHOUT FACTORY anniversary release...but it IS the same movie with a few extras thrown in for throwing in's sake. Nice price, for a CULT CLASSIC FILM!!!!
